Interim Psychologist – Corrections

GHR Search is currently partnered with one of the largest municipal health care systems in the United States, seeking Experienced Psychology Professionals for a 13 week contract assignment providing therapy to an adult population in a correctional facility located in the Queens borough of New York City. This would be an Interim Psychologist for their corrections health division.

The ideal Interim Psychologist will bring extensive experience providing both individualized and group therapy to an adult patient population, within an inpatient or correctional healthcare environment.

Details:

· Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or 2pm to 10pm

· 40 hours per week, on site

· Hourly Pay Rates: $57-62/HR based on years of experience

Psychologist Responsibilities:

· Conduct psychiatric assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan updates progress notes and discharge planning as outlined by Chief of Service

· Providing individual, group and family therapy for patients as assigned in the correctional facility

· Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Care Teams on patient care

· Writing and submitting reports for court in a timely fashion and testifying as needed

Qualifications:

· Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the NYS Department of Education

· Doctoral Degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology forensic psychology, clinical health psychology or neuro-psychology

· 2 years of clinical experience with an adult patient population

· Proficiency in psychological assessment, providing therapeutic services and treatment planning

· Ability to provide professional references

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Experience working with the corrections population preferred

Pay: $57.00 - $65.00 per hour
