A typical day for an LVN includes:

· Establishing and maintaining an environment that recognizes each resident’s individuality and rights

· Performing duties related to pre-admission, admission, and discharge of residents

· Administering medications as well as supervising medication aides to ensure accuracy in their duties

· Maintaining medical records, ensuring necessary records are available and accurate

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Must be a licensed Nurse in the State of Texas and in good standing with the Board of Nurse Examiners

· Prior experience in SNF/LTC preferred, but not required
