*Work Schedule*

  • Tuesday - Saturday / 8:00a-5:00p
  • Wednesday - Sunday / 8:00a-5:00p

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Complete Health Assessment, Pain Assessment, and Physical for assessing clients
  • Observes residents to monitor activities and behavior, and documents notable behaviors, medical and medication behaviors, and rules violations. Provide one-to-one supervision for any client at risk.
  • Coordinates dissemination of medication to clients each day.
  • Provides support and training for Residential & Milieu Support Staff with regards to medication setup and administration support.
  • Participate in meetings, track pertinent health data, and collaborate and provide input on treatment plans (i.e., in response to labs).
  • Conducts regular audits of Medication Administration Records (MARs) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures by non-nursing staff.
  • During intake assessment, complete the medication review with client and/or families.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • CPR / First Aid certified.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques.
  • Certification to administer injections and TB tests a plus.
  • Two years of experience in a behavioral health residential treatment setting, supporting individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis.
  • Must be familiar with general pharmacy abbreviations and demonstrate awareness and competency with managing lookalike, soundalike medications.
  • Specific, required, current, and active licensure, registration, or certification must be maintained in good standing.
  • Preferred candidates should have sound understanding of mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and milieu therapy.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability use various software programs.
  • Have a valid driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance.
  • Successfully complete drug screen and comprehensive background check.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as needed. Flexibility and adaptability in schedule are essential.

_Compensation range for the Licensed Vocational Nurse role is $32.00 - $38.00 / hr.

The range provided is for California based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than CA may differ based on the cost of living in that geographic location._
