Home Kitchen Cafe, an award winning breakfast and lunch restaurant on the coast of Maine has a great opportunity for talented cooks. This position is year round and full time.
Rated #1 in Midcoast Maine by Trip Advisor. Our all-scratch cafe serves simple food prepared consistently well. Our corn tortillas, black beans, ranchero sauce, sausage gravy, salsa, corned beef hash and more are all made in our kitchen. Our loaves of bread and desserts are made in our own bakery.
Members of our staff have been with us for a minimum of 4 years.
We are a family-oriented business that promotes teamwork and respect.
Our staff enjoys daytime hours, no evenings, competitive pay, weekly pay, weekly % of tips, paid holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas ,vacation pay, two days off, paid sick days and a yearly bonus.
Candidates should have 2 years of professional line work and enjoy a fast-paced kitchen atmosphere.
Job requires knife skills, ability to read tickets, consistant execution and plating, communication skills, timeliness, teamwork and a sense of humor.
