The Task At-Hand:
Juneshine is opening its third tasting room and first-ever flagship location on the east coast in Williamsburg, NY. Reporting to the General Manager; you will execute and maintain the raw bar. This role supports the tasting room operation by assisting mainly with back-of-house (BOH) kitchen and food preparation duties.

In This Role You Will:
  • Perform opening duties including preset dining areas and food prep stations for daily service while ensuring the oyster bar is properly prepared based on established procedures and volume
  • Maintain an organized and clean workstation
  • Prepare food, including cleaning and cutting ingredients, and plate prepared food menu items as ordered
  • Accepting orders daily and checking for quality
  • Execute ordering of ingredients required for food service
  • Update Toast POS with inventory
  • Work in close communication with your team to synchronize timely service of menu items
  • Wash and clean the raw bar prep station and utensils and properly store equipment at the closing of each shift
  • Follow established recipes and plating requirements as set by General Manager
  • Rotates oysters daily, oldest on top
  • Provide fast, accurate shucking of oysters
  • Restock all items through each shift
  • Communicate effectively with FOH staff as it relates to out-of-stock items, ticket times, and allergens
  • Report any potential quality control issues to the General Manager
  • Support all roles as needed and assigned by General Manager and Lead Bartender
  • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures
  • Work collaboratively with your team on a daily basis
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Must Haves
:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • 1 year minimum of professional experience as an Oyster Shucker or relatable BOH role experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting
  • Available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays and fill in as needed
  • Valid Food Handler's certification required prior to start date
  • Passion for hospitality and a genuine love for building relationships and interacting with people
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, growing company
Compensation: Part Time, Hourly ($20-$25), Non-Exempt
