Vitale's is a beloved neighborhood and city-wide staple, and has been serving THE best pizza in Grand Rapids for almost 60 years, under the ownership of our patriarch, Mr. Sam Vitale. Mr. Vitale continues to come to work daily, to offer coaching to employees and interact with the customers that have blessed us with their business for decades. We are very much a family-based restaurant, and actively strive to maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere of positive vibes, good food and happy workers!

We are looking for experienced cooks with a good work ethic, sharp attention to detail and a good laid back attitude to join our family here at Vitale's! We pay weekly and give cash tips bi-weekly (after your first 30 days), with skills such as making orders, prepping food, handling a cash register and having positive interactions with customers being the foundation of what is expected of our employees.

Right now, we are specifically seeking experienced line cooks who have worked in casual or fine dining kitchens or above. A new menu is on the horizon for Vitale's, so perhaps this is your opportunity to get your dish on a real menu! Some housekeeping is afoot in our cozy kitchen, and menu changes are only the beginning! We would love to have you be part of putting a face-lift on a beloved Grand Rapids classic.

The job is not difficult, but can be challenging at times when we are very busy and cannot help that we work out of a relatively small kitchen - therefore, be ready to move! We are a fast-moving, hard-working bunch, and we can be a little intense (but still welcoming!) - so come prepared to bring your A game from day 1 and don't take it personally if we're a bunch of jokesters - we have a good time while we work, but still treat our job with the seriousness it and our customers deserve. We ARE intense and fast-paced, so if a laid-back, slow moving job is more your cup of tea then you will certainly be better suited elsewhere.

We actively seek to promote from within the company (we are unaffiliated with the other Vitales' around town; they are family members, but separate entities business-wise), and encourage those with a natural tendency toward leadership to apply! Opportunities to advance are somewhat seldom, but if management is what you're after, we will absolutely still train you so that you are ready once a position is open.
