Line Cook Job at Workplay
Workplay is a full service restaurant serving TexMex menu such as Tacos, Steak, Burritos, Salad, Green & Red Salsa to name a few. Daily operation is from 4pm-12am. The Line Cook must be available to work at least 4-5 times a week.
Full time & Part Time positions available
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- The ability to work on your feet for long shifts.
- At least 2 years of previous food preparation experience.
- The ability to adapt to a busy kitchen environment while working closely with restaurant staff.
- Familiarity with standard equipment, ingredients, and recipes. years of previous food preparation experience.
Food Preparation
- Prep areas to ensure we are fully stocked with necessary ingredients.
- Prepare meat, vegetables, sauces and other baseline items in order to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
- Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, busy environment
Meal Service
- Perform various standard cooking methods and ensure that recipes are executed in line with the ingredients and preparation guidelines
- Ensure dishes are endorsed to servers in a timely manner
- Control food costs by managing portion control and minimizing food waste
- Work as a team with the rest of the kitchen staff to provide efficient production
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Work with other member of the Kitchen crew to maintain cleanliness in every station of the kitchen
- Maintain personal hygiene standards
- Regularly checking ingredient's quality and freshness
