Line Cook Driver Job at Utah Community Action

The Line Cook Driver is responsible for the preparation and delivery of food to Utah Community Action Head Start sites, including summer dinner program and outside clients.
This is a full time, year-round position. Pay is $21/hour. We also offer generous benefits including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a healthcare spending account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 match, a 401k plan with 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, paid time off (PTO up to 192 hours), and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care. Position located in South Salt Lake at our state-of-the-art kitchen. No weekend or evening hours.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/GED.
- Current food handler's permit, or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire, required.
- Graduate of a culinary program preferred
- One year of related experience preferred.
- Current Driver's License
- Ability to be insured
JOB DUTIES
- Preparation and delivery of food and pick up of dirty dishes for all Utah Community Action sites, including summer dinner program, Kindergarten Readiness and Outside clients
- Must follow Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations, including summer food program requirements and guidelines at all times
- Must attend CACFP training sessions as instructed by Nutrition coordinator
- Must maintain full compliance with Head Start Nutritional Performance Standards
- Compliance with all applicable Federal, State and local food safety and sanitation laws, including those related to storage, preparation and service of food
- Responsible to complete and turn in daily transportation logs, vehicle inspection logs, mileage logs, temperature logs and daily Central Kitchen cleaning sheets
- Will assist Sauté Program, Cafe Evergreen, Catered Events, Nutrition in the Home, and Food and Resource Centers as needed
- Responsible to cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of Central Kitchen
- Good Attendance a must
