- Coordinate the requirements for purchased products as generated by MRP or related scheduling sources
- Ensure the supply base delivers on schedule and timing
- Ensure availability of products to meet production schedule demands while ensuring proper freight allocation and minimizing expedited shipments – local and overseas
- Perform “Part Number by Part Number” analysis and develop supply plan, create supplier schedules and follow up on supplier deliveries on time respecting correct Days on Hand
- Manage and improve supply base as required; measure and communicate supplier performance, establish and implement corrective actions and negotiate a balanced resolution that meets customers’ needs
- Manage MRP and Inventory Targets and expedite
- Conduct material excess and obsolescence analysis, and disposition the materials accordingly
- Achieve inventory targets using formal, established ordering policies and procedures meeting regularly with Global team
- Follow all documented procedures and maintain vendor/documentation files as required
- Assist in monitoring supplier agreements and any escalation issues
- Support supplier quality surveys and cost reduction activities to meet established goals
- Update Item Master as needed
- Interface with Purchasing, Engineering , Manufacturing , Quality , production
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and projects
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- SAP knowledge Mandatory
- JIS knowledge Mandatory
- Proven ability to multitask in a demanding production environment
- Analytic thinking and strong sense of urgency
- High school diploma or GED required. College level education desirable
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to read and interpret measuring devices
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Understand the ISO-14001 Environmental Policy which requires individuals to comply with environmental regulations, prevention of pollution, and continual improvement
