Logistics Analyst-Transportation & Capacity Management
Your role:
As the Logistics Analyst you will be responsible for balancing customer demand with production capacity and inventory to meet customer requirements. They assist in coordinating production run times and facility projects to minimize customer interruption. They are responsible for inventory planning and execution to mitigate supply and demand imbalances in the product line. They work with Transportation, Sales, and 3rd party vendors to establish least cost distribution strategies that align with customer expectations.

Your responsibilities:
  • Supply Network Planning: manage the resolution of current week shipment exceptions and coordinate production run times. Coordinate supply to cover unplanned downtime, short notice customer orders and plant downtime. Manage demand plan and production performance and proactively provide impact analysis and recommendations to stakeholders within the business. Available 24 hours/day, 365 days/year for after hour emergency situations (with the exception of paid vacation).
  • Lead and coordinate the resolution of short term demand/capacity imbalances within the 1 – 8 week planning horizon through the use of customer arbitrage and plant to plant supplemental flour shipments
  • Distribution and inventory management: Responsible for selecting and working with 3rd party warehouse and bulk terminal vendors to manage finished product inventory levels. This includes inventory accounting involving system transactions to issue/receive goods.
  • Work with a cross functional team to execute S&OP planning activities for designated region, ensuring customers are aligned to correct mill and transportation mode. .
  • Execute the plan for major asset projects (plant expansions, packer projects, etc), as well as major “unplanned” plant downtimes. Manage and coordinate short term (1-4 weeks) planned/unplanned plant downtime –sanitation, equipment and emergency downtime, etc., including the execution of customer arbitrage and realignments.
Essential skills and experience:
  • 4 year degree in Business, Logistics/Transportation/ Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management or 3 Years experience in Logistics, Transportation, Operations Management and/or Supply Chain
  • Experience working with multiple facilities across a Business Unit
  • Strong Teamwork and Leadership Skills
  • Excellent Problem Solving/Decision Making Skills
  • Strong communication Skills
  • Experience working with multiple facilities across a Business Unit
  • Demonstrated organization and multi tasking skills
Good to have:
  • 3-5 yrs in a business experience, preferably supply chain area.
  • Preferred: SAP or other inventory management software experience
  • Preferred: Logistics and/or Transportation experience
  • Scheduling/Production planning
Other Considerations:
  • Ardent Mills is headquartered in Denver, CO. The strong preference is for this role to be based in Denver, but a remote assignment may be considered for the right candidate.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of time to other facilities and/or offices to support efforts to serve customers

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:
We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $69,590.29 - $92,816.06, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 5% Annual.
