Title: Dock Logistics Manager

Location: Wheat Ridge, CO 80033

Duration: 13 Months Contract

Shifts: Days 8a-5p, 40 hours per week

I. General Description

The Dock Logistics Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day onsite loading dock and logistics activities and the onsite management of 3rd party mover/warehousing partners. Project-specific tasks are complex and vary throughout the activation of a project.

II. Duties and Responsibilities

The Dock Logistics Manager will act as the liaison between vendor deliveries and the project team. Will be the receiving liaison at the project site and be required to engage among multiple stakeholders, including owner representatives, general contractor, subcontractors, vendors, material movers, and end users.

1. Implement project-specific deployment strategies, in conjunction with representatives of the project team and any 3rd party move partners.

2. Develop and manage the Activation Delivery/Dock calendar in conjunction with the Activation Project Manager and Installation Lead

3. Manage loading dock bay allocation, including Driver/Dispatcher appointment inquiries, unscheduled deliveries, and dock traffic management.

4. Work with key owner representatives to determine delivery timing and priorities.

5. Coordinate with Owner’s Materials Management and Security Departments, the General Contractor, and the Activation PM to create a Dock Management Plan.

6. Coordination with General Contractor and Owner’s EVS Department to develop and/or implement a site waste management plan (for the Activation Phase only).

7. Coordination with, and supervision of, 3rd party Move Partner. To include setting daily objectives, placement location clarification, field determinations/issue resolution, and quality checks.

8. Performs and/or oversees all receiving activities including status updates in the project’s tracking tool, product model & quantity verifications, tagging, and capturing of applicable pertinent data and paperwork.

9. Participate in the numerous daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks required to support Activation processes, including generating routine and on-demand specific reports, printing copies of reports and maps, scanning of receiving documents data entry, and other duties as assigned.

10. Facility walk-down support and coordination. General support in closing out product or room issues, including follow-up coordination.

11. Performs quality control functions to ensure data and report accuracy, integrity, uniformity, and completeness

12. Comparison of Receiving Documentation against Purchase Orders and Equipment Lists. Ability to utilize multiple data sources to resolve discrepancies.

13. Participate in project meetings as required.

14. Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner with consultants and project team members.

15. Assist in the physical movement of products (medical equipment and IT devices) during all phases of the product life cycle as needed.

16. Must be able to lift product up to 50 lbs.

17. Must be able to operate a pallet jack, flatbed cart, and other move equipment.

18. Field troubleshooting support and assistance with issue resolution

19. Interpret purchasing and receiving documentation, schedules, and floor plans/drawings.

20. Provide instruction to project team and other users regarding software/tracking module functionality.

21. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures as appropriate.

22. Exhibit a high level of customer service while maintaining a professional image and behavior.

23. Other duties as assigned.

Skills:

III. Qualifications

1. Experience in Receiving/Warehousing, Materials Management, or related field is preferred.

2. Proficient PC skills including data entry and comparison.

3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

4. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

5. Ability to learn quickly.

6. Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and complete with minimum supervision.

7. Strong written and communication skills.

8. Strong interpersonal and team collaborative skills.

9. Microsoft Visio, SmartSheet, and Microsoft Project knowledge a plus.

IV. Work Conditions

1. Must be present on the project site as specified. Work assignments will require presence at the construction jobsite four to five days per week.

2. High noise levels.

3. Requires physical labor.

4. Requires lifting and standing long hours

5. Greater than 8 hour days.

6. Must be able to work in an active construction environment.

7. Hard Sole shoes/boots and long pants are required every day.

8. Hardhat, safety glasses, and safety vest will be provided.

9. Other conditions to be discussed with project assignment.

V. Reporting Structure 1. The Dock Logistics Manager will report to the project’s Supply Chain/Facilities Lead.

Education:

Required: Physical Labor Abilities, Be able to work effciently unsupervised.

Preferred: Have previous warehouse experience.
