Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Mail Screeners will screen and intercept hazardous and suspicious mail and parcel arriving at the mail facilities in Northern Virginia (Zip Code 22350).

This is a five-year project and is contingent on the award of the contract. Our salary for this position is $22/hour.

Key responsibilities:

• Mitigating and reacting to hazardous material contamination in a negatively pressurized environment
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while lifting and carrying heavy parcels
• Work in close proximity to parcel x-ray machines
• Input data in spreadsheets and tracking system
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as needed

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

• Interim or active Secret Clearance is required
• Physically fit in order to carry heavy loads while wearing PPE
• Willing to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists and fingers
• Above average English communication skills
• Computer literate using MS Office Suite and parcel tracking system
• Must lawfully reside in the United States and eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits)
