Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for coordinating the capital planning and implementation of capital projects.
  • Work closely with Group Engineering or outside engineering services to direct or assist with larger projects.
  • Ensure personnel in this area are kept at the proper competency level through development, apprenticeship, coaching, etc.
  • Ensure that all production – related equipment in the plant is maintained in a state of repair, in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness with proper uptime, yields and throughput.
  • Leads and manages a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) system to ensure optimum equipment reliability and process effectiveness.
  • Audits preventative/predictive inspections and programs that support RCM to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement compliance.
  • Manages the daily maintenance and shutdown activities within budgeted dollars, manning and material resources.
  • To implement studies and actions to overcome technical downtime problems, to reduce waste and improve team performance.
  • Lead and manage the maintenance department toward a total preventive maintenance program to enhance link between maintenance and production.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure matters of mutual concern are addressed and resolved.
  • Direct and coordinate problem solving activities and continuous improvement activities.

Travel:

  • Travel is minimal with some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected (<5% annually).

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technically related field.
  • 7+ years manufacturing experience in the areas of engineering, supervision and production management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and superior team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with reliability centered maintenance: Management of CMMS, PDM, PM, TPM.

Qualifications Desired:

  • Automotive Experience with Automotive OEMs
  • Strong in analytical, innovative, and strategic competencies
  • Six Sigma training
