SUMMARY: Works with Projects Team completing a wide variety of tasks including maintenance, demolition and modification of building systems, structures and associated infrastructure at the GLOBALFOUNDRIES facility in Essex Junction. Regular work hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Job Duties include:

• Comply with all Fluor and client safety requirements and programs.
• Perform general carpentry work. Work with metal studs, builds frames, concrete forms and scaffolds, installs exterior & interior trim, doors. Install floor tile, ceiling tile & dry wall.
• Smooth surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool and remove old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting. Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty plaster, or other filler. Paint surfaces using brushes or paint rollers.
• Perform maintenance repairs on building/facility systems, structures, equipment and furniture.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the work areas and shop.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) required.
• Trade school education or two to four years industrial or commercial experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with basic hand tools required.
• Must have ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications.
