JOB TITLE: Maintenance Helper
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Maintenance & EHS Manager
HOURS AVAILABLE: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (w/30-minute lunch and mid-shift breaks)

A safety and wellness focused operation which ensures high customer satisfaction levels that supports the company achieving goals. This position supports this initiative by ensuring a properly maintained physical location and as well as well-serviced equipment.

About the Position:

Assists with maintaining and adhering to our preventative maintenance program as it pertains to production machinery and the facility.

Essential Functions (include but not limited to):

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and plumbing related issues.
• Assist with facility related projects.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance procedures on all production machinery.
• Control downtime by responding to maintenance issues with a sense of urgency.
• Maintain an open line of communication with management regarding proper use of equipment and machinery.
• Participate in annual trainings (LOTO, Machine Operator, miscellaneous equipment, etc)
• Take preventative safety measures throughout the facility (guard rails, inclement weather, lighting, water leaks, filtration systems etc)
• Assist maintenance tech with resources requested and assist in building prototypes.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years minimum experience in manufacturing facility maintenance
• General knowledge in two or more of the following competencies: mechanical, electrical, architectural, plumbing, HVAC
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify

Environmental:

• Warehouse environment, limited climate control

Language Skills:

• English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)

Mathematical Skills:

• Basic to Intermediate math skills

Reasoning Ability:

• Analytical skills
• Keen sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to problem solve

Work Environment:

• Factory setting, large open area, exposure to heavy machinery and motorized vehicles, exposed to extreme temperatures, loud and fast-paced environment, and occasional stressful situations
