Position Summary
The Canning Maintenance Manager will be able to supervise and direct Canning maintenance operations.
General Purpose
Canning Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing costs, payroll, improving efficiencies, preventive maintenance, maintenance operations, problem resolution, team member retention.
Position Responsibilities
· Crider, Inc. requires all employees to comply with and support all Food Safety and Quality policies, programs and procedures to insure our products meet and exceed consumers’ expectation.
· Develop and implement long term maintenance strategy to improve equipment reliability.
· Assess equipment and maintenance performance and develop a predictive and proactive plan.
· Identify and anticipate major repairs, replacements and capital projects to insure improved and continuous operations.
· Direct the maintenance of the physical assets of the plant to insure continuous operation and attainment of line effectiveness, yields and costs.
· Lead and support improvements in asset effectiveness and develop tracking systems for downtime and action plans.
· Lead and implement a preventative maintenance process to improve OEE, manage spare parts, increase inventory turns and reduce costs.
· Manage the facility maintenance expenses to insure the most effective use of fixed and variable operating budgets.
· Develop, manage and execute a work request process that achieves plant objectives for quality, productivity, safety and GMP improvements.
Essential Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree, and previous experience in maintenance of canning facility and other areas or equivalent experience.
· Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results from others
· Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a six month to one year period
· Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
· Problem analysis and problem resolution capabilities at both strategic and functional levels
· Strong customer orientation
· Superior interpersonal skills
· Commitment to company values
Preferred and Relevant Skills and Experience
· Experience in facility maintenance, and other areas in a canning plant.
· Advanced computer efficiency.
· Knowledge of PMs, efficiency, and cost.
· Experience in Lean Manufacturing Principles
