Roles and Responsibilities:
- Use power and hand tools to perform repair and maintenance work.
- Services equipment by oiling, greasing, and coolants as required.
- Operate forklift and other basic loading and unloading equipment as required, to move machine chips, and hazardous material.
- Comply with all safety requires and/or procedures established Maintain an acceptable attendance record
- Must be able to use time clock system effectively (punch in / out)
- Must be able to communicate safety hazards when observed
- Follow all instructions provided by department manager of designee
- Must able to perform the functions of the maintenance helper when needed
Required Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving bending, squatting, standing for extended periods of time, pushing, reaching and some lifting.
- Committed to quality service.
- Displays a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Works with minimal supervision. Demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and Holidays.
- Ability to fluently read, work and follow instructions in English.
- Possess a Class C, California Driver’s License.
- Maintain good driver safety record. (Must provide DMV record annually).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position.
- Able to trouble shoot machine malfunctions which may occur with CNC , Non-CNC, hydraulic presses, etc. equipment
- Basic knowledge of machine / equipment electrical components
- Able to communicate machine / equipment repair status
- Must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
Experience/training / Education requirements:
- Four years of general maintenance and repair. Experience on CNC lathe and mills or equivalent combination of experience will be considered.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills.
- Good numerical and reasoning ability.
- Ability to organize tasks and work with others.
