This Full-Time Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining proper living conditions and general maintenance for all Granite Bay Care group homes.

Responsibilities

  • Completes all assigned tasks from the Facilities Director (FD) timely and logs all work.
  • Schedules maintenance or repairs with the FD, in conjunction with other managers, to minimize client exposure to possible disruptive repairs.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs when directed by the FD, Area Director or State Director.
  • Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance of properties including but not limited to painting, cleaning of gutters, yard maintenance, hauling material to transfer stations, furniture pickups and delivery, etc. to ensure compliance with all lease and rental agreements.
  • Submit written bids and cost materials for projects that need completion to the FD.
  • Perform cleaning and repairs to properties when clients transition in to or out of homes.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
  • Report any issues or problems to the FD or in his/her absence the Area Directors or State Director in writing when possible, or at the least by text message or a phone call.
  • Return any unused materials for projects timely.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • A minimum of 2 (two) years working experience in a similar role.
  • Solid experience with general plumbing/electrical systems.
  • Ability to work with power equipment and hardware tools.
  • Extremely organized with good communication skills.
  • Ability to life 50-80 pounds regularly.
  • Valid license and reliable transportation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
