MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING 1st shift temp-to-hire Maintenance Technician in the Lafayette, Indiana, area!

$26.00 / hour

Shift: 1st,6AM – 2:30PM, Monday to Sunday

**Must be willing to work as needed in a fast-paced industrial environment**

Maintenance Technician responsibilities:

• Repairs equipment
• Orders materials and parts
• Maintains crib according to 5s standards
• Reviews and sets PMs
• Sets up inventory using min/max method
• Creates and maintains file system (electronic and hard copy)
• Verifies accuracy of operation and maintenance manuals
• Builds trend data and sets up scheduled reports
• Communicates with management (both MIS and customer)
• Follows through with all work updates with management
• Copying and printing as required
• Other tasks as assigned

Job experience & requirements:

• Experience working within an industrial/facilities maintenance department is a plus
• Must have hydraulic and pneumatics experience
• Can understand high pressure and horizontal/vertical pumps
• Excellent mechanical skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Proven problem-solving skills

Work environment:

• Can work in a frequently changing environment (hot and cold), noisy, dirty, dusty, etc.

Safety notes:

• Follows Safety Protocol required at SIA

Dress code: Must wear steel-toed shoes, safety vest, hard hat, navy/khaki pants, solid bright orange shirt.
