SAN CARLOS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Job Description: This position will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the building as a whole. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the building including, but not limited to: custodial work, minor carpentry, electrical, ventilation, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, pool maintenance, and other maintenance related activities. This position will successfully resolve problems as they occur either directly or by coordinating with building management.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Coordinate maintenance worker efforts to make sure the building is properly maintained.
  • Coordinate with Management for maintenance issues that need further efforts.
  • Identify areas for improvement and solve directly.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs such as (carpentry, general labor, etc.)
  • Communicate a plan of action for improvement with Management regarding scheduled repairs or extra repairs.
  • Perform administrative duties regarding maintenance such as keeping logs of repairs, accuracy of repair descriptions, etc.
  • Oversee equipment and maintenance supplies and place orders as needed for the business.
  • Assure that the pool is maintained and balanced on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of maintenance experience.
  • Strong technical skills and an overall understanding of building maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning, cleaning, pool maintenance, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
  • Must have a Driver’s license and must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
  • Must be able stand and work for 6-8 hours daily.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Complete assigned daily work orders to include tasks such as plumbing, electrical, sheetrock repair, etc.
  • Perform daily/weekly inspection tours.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Excellent oral/written skills required
  • 1-3 years of prior maintenance experience, required

Job requirements:

  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Be able to stand/walk for entire shift.
  • Must be able to climb/stand on ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach.
  • Must keep a neat, safe workspace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Gulf Shores, AL 36542: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
