Performs custodial, housekeeping or grounds keeping duties to keep building or ground in a clean and orderly condition at one of YLI's sites. Sites in South Carolina are located in Pickens, Tamassee, Aiken, Awendaw and Summerton.

JOB DUTIES:


45% - Essential - Groundskeeping:
Mows grass and weed eats the grounds. Keeps ground clean and orderly. Rakes leaves and keeps ground free of debris. Plants, fertilizes, trims and waters lawns, flowers, shrubbery and trees as needed. Sprays and pulls weeds, and does landscaping as directed.

20% - Essential - Custodial:
Cleans offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, and stairways. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuums all areas as needed. Replenishes supplies, i.e. paper-towels, toilet paper as necessary. Assists in the set-up and breakdown for functions held at the facility. Collects trash throughout the facility.

20% - Essential - Improvements:
Assists in any improvements/construction on the site. Assists in the maintenance and repair of all existing structures and new structures (cleaning, painting, light electrical work, plumbing). Maintains an inventory of all maintenance equipment and tools.

15% - Essential - Repairs:
Performs minor repairs as director by the site director and/or the facilities manager. Performs motor pool inspections. Replaces light bulbs. Upkeep of machinery, i.e. lawn mowers, weed eaters, chain saws. Change oil periodically. Changes air filters as scheduled. Other duties as assigned by facilities manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Experience in custodial, housekeeping or pest control work that is directly related to the area of employment.

Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Standard Hrs: 28; Band: 02 ($ 12,760.30 - $ 23,609.60)
