POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production-related items.
- Receives general and specific instructions from supervision and then carries out work unsupervised.
- Performance of routine maintenance and repairs to plant systems.
- Perform regular scheduled preventative maintenance inspections.
- Perform electrical repairs on all facility-related electrical systems.
- Assist with production maintenance as required.
- Completion of all required maintenance documentation.
- Performance of miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Report any safety and quality issues/problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Properly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of climbing.
- Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
- Must be able to work on man lifts at ceiling height.
- Mechanical aptitude and in-depth knowledge of plumbing, pumps, electrical power systems and components, and PLC programming.
- In-depth understanding of the importance of preventative maintenance inspections.
- Technical knowledge of equipment components.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with others.
