As the Management Trainee, you will learn the production and supervision aspects of manufacturing, coordination and scheduling of production functions, engineering aspects of manufacturing and the various administrative services.

What You'll Do:
  • Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times.
  • Extend treatment to all other associates of the company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers.
  • Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail.
  • Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures.
  • Assume a supervisory role under the direction of a production supervisor or department manager to gain knowledge of production procedures and to develop human relations skills.
  • Complete projects, as may be assigned, in industrial, foundry, plant and quality engineering departments, and in manufacturing, human resources and accounting areas.
  • Participate in the decision-making process by observing and making suggestions.
  • Learn the functions of the human resources department, such as wage and salary administration, safety and first aid, reports, disciplinary procedures, employee benefits and general company personnel policies and procedures.
  • Complete paperwork and written reports required within the department.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Work and fill in actual production positions as assigned to learn specific job duties.
  • Attend pertinent in-house and outside training sessions or seminars, as directed.
  • Visit other Grede plants and other companies to observe their operations, as time permits.
  • Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.
What We Need From You:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years related experience.
  • Must possess the ability to organize, direct and motivate people.
