Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company is a vertically integrated musculoskeletal outcomes management company. HOPCo manages physician practices, hospital service lines, population health and value-based care programs, and musculoskeletal delivery networks.

HOPCo is the managing partner of Arizona-based entities, CORE Institute, Northern Arizona Orthopedics, CORE Institute Specialty Hospital, Michigan- based CORE Institute , and Florida-based Southeast Orthopedic Specialists.

As HOPCo continues to grow, we are looking for a Manager of Finance.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

Perform financial analysis to support operations and financial objectives; supports annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting production in the Solver forecasting system; analyze actuals vs. budget variances for operations, physician practices, and /or facilities (e.g. hospital and ASCs) segments; provide analysis and commentary in support of financial reporting packages for internal and external third parties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assists the Finance Leadership and operational leaders as a strategic, hands-on business partner.
• Supports annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and frequent financial model building for the operations, physician practices, and/or facilities segments
• Utilizes financial reporting and forecasting tools to facilitate the development of quarterly financial forecasts for multiple business entities and departments.
• Prepares accurate and timely financial reporting packages for the Board of Directors, department, and operational leaders.
• Leads or supports monthly meetings with various operational and functional leaders to review and discuss financial performance.
• Creates financial models and pro forma analyses to support sound decision-making; for example, analyzing the financial impact of new business acquisitions, services or processes.
• Establishes strong working relationships with business partners (all levels of the organization).
• Communicates in a responsive, professional manner with all HOPCo employees and third parties.
• Ensures that regular, consistent communication takes place. Proactively communicates with colleagues and shares accurate, up-to-date information (whether the information is favorable or unfavorable).
• Exhibits integrity without exception, which inspires trust and respect throughout the organization. Prioritizes honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior while maintaining confidentiality.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in a different discipline will be considered if the candidate has extensive professional experience in Finance or Accounting

EXPERIENCE

• At least seven (7) years experience in corporate finance or operations finance. Experience in health care services is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE

• Demonstrated working knowledge of profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and inter-company financial reporting.
• Knowledge of finance and accounting functions including budgeting/forecasting, financial modeling, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
