In your Value Engineering Manufacturing Analyst role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.

Responsibilities:

Kimtech Mission - Create best value, simple manufacturing solutions. We’re seeking a highly experienced analyst to help support that quest. As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the analyst will evaluate cost structures, pricing methods, processes, and systems to identify improvement opportunities in delivering the best value to our customers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with all levels of management to gain an in-depth understanding of our strategy and services. The analyst will have an impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our daily operations and a lasting influence on our growth.

Serve as the first interaction within the Kimtech organization for customers globally. Utilize expertise to develop price and delivery solutions, manufacturing plans and support shop scheduling for a wide range of machinery and equipment; from individual parts to entire machines ($4-$6MM value). Leverage multiple regional supply chains to support the best global value, quality, and lead times for our customers. Demonstrate leadership through managing customer relationships and feedback process. Deliver estimates and manufacturing plans with accuracy and timeliness critical to supporting Value Engineering financial targets.

  • Develop and provide best value, on-time estimates for Value Engineering customers globally
  • Develop efficient, value generating manufacturing plans for capital and expense equipment
  • Identify, develop, and execute processes and protocols to expand Value Engineering globally
  • Routinely identify and solve problems impacting Value Engineering’s customers and service delivery
  • Expertise in global supply chain solutions to fulfill Value Engineering strategic objectives and customer commitments while delivering timely, cost-effective solutions
  • Maintain relationships and performance metrics across organizations needed to provide timely input into the Value Engineering Estimating Process
  • Strategically support capital and expense projects guiding customers through the creation and submission of purchase orders and/or work requests
  • Create and implement estimates required to support the financial targets of the Value Engineering Organization
  • Create efficient, value generating manufacturing plans
  • Facilitate the execution of manufacturing plans through the Kimtech Machine Shop
  • Partner with multiple business functions to analyze material, labor, assembly, shipping, and export costs
  • Develop and implement the process to integrate price and lead time data from regional supply chains to provide the best global price and lead time
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of regional pricing, tariffs, production schedules, and supply chain process to coordinate multiple SAP region pricing and supply chains to deliver best value, on time machinery and equipment
  • Serve as global subject matter expert on the Value Engineering team and provide guidance to customers in the process of requesting estimates and quotes through the submission of purchase orders and/or work requests
  • Leverage Central Stores services to ensure estimates are accurately and efficiently processed
  • Demonstrate connectivity between the estimating and ordering process to incorporate best value sourcing into procurement and manufacturing plan activities
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with K-C Procurement to ensure accurate pricing and vendor capacity
  • Create and maintain in-process and end-of-pipe process performance measurements and standard work
  • International travel up to 25%

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Technical degree or (5) plus years of equipment manufacturing experience
  • Have a high degree of initiative, be able to function independently, effectively participate on multifunctional teams, and exercise sound judgment in dealing with external parties
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects, producing accurate and timely work product, and operating with a high level of attention to detail
  • Experience in machine shop operations is required; Highly technical machine shop operations knowledge is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP, or other ERP systems, and the ability to learn and understand SAP costing within acceptable timelines
  • Ability to read and interpret complex machine and equipment drawing sets
  • Ability to build, foster, and maintain positive working relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers through effective verbal and written communication
