CSMC is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to lead NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and have responsibility for manufacture of development engine hardware. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the newest products and manufacturing technologies being designed and developed at Pratt & Whitney.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate selected will be responsible for planning and development of manufacturing processes for new experimental engine hardware and in some cases phasing these products into production. This includes working with new product IPT’s during conceptual design phase through detail design and ultimately initial hardware manufacture.
- NPIU ME will ensure product design meets cost and producibility goals while still meeting program and design requirements.
- Support of development hardware manufacture will be both within P&W and at selected development suppliers.
- Responsibilities include creation of master planning summary, tool planning, design and tryout, creation of work instructions, development of new process technologies, first piece tryout and delivery of development parts to meet program schedules.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Candidate must have experience with new process development and new product planning and introductions.
- Applicant must also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to multi-task and adapt to changing business needs and priorities and work within a high- pressure environment in a professional manner.
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with machining rotating hardware, IBRs/Blisks, fan/compressor airfoils, new capital equipment projects, continuous improvement projects and project leadership preferred.
