MARKET PRESIDENT
Overview:
Candidates must have at least ten years of leadership experience with a working knowledge of bank operations and the ability to develop and achieve market goals. This includes coaching, managing and mentoring talent as well as assisting in employee development and retention through ongoing training. Our candidate will develop and implement a written sales and profit plan for the market outlining the goals and objectives based on potential opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Underwrite/approve commercial/consumer loans within assigned authority
- Meet or exceed volume/production and profitability goals for the assigned market by business development and managing lending staff within the assigned market
- Leads implementation of Bank’s marketing programs to support market strategies and initiatives
- Maintain acceptable loan delinquency and charge-off levels for the market
- Business development of loans and Bank product and services referrals to other lines of business
- Serve on various Bank committees
- Ensure objectives of the Bank’s CRA program are supported within assigned market
- Responsible for staff hiring, development, coaching, performance management, recognition, and disciplinary actions
- Ability to manage a budget, analyze and interpret business financial statements
- Maintain asset quality by consistent monitoring and remediation of key relationship factors
- Ensure the overall profitability for the market
- Conduct periodic sales meetings with the local team to review pipeline/new business opportunities and coordinate marketing resources to stimulate new opportunities in the local market
- Participate in the design and implementation of appropriate incentive plans
- Establish a strong working relationship with Credit, Operations, Underwriting and Mortgage departments
- Attend enhanced sales and leadership training and provide same to Bank Relationship Managers
- Fully utilize CRM to enhance/advance relationship management opportunities

Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or other related field required
- Minimum of 10 years of working experience in the commercial or consumer lending areas required, preferably within the Banking industry
- Extensive knowledge of commercial and consumer lending procedures and regulations required
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and business financial statements
- Excellent demonstrated positive leadership skills required
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff to include coaching and development
- Excellent written and verbal skills are essential
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office Products
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Ability to work hours to meet customer or event schedules is required
- Ability to travel up to 10 %
- Ability to possess a NMLS license or obtain NMLS license within a reasonable timeframe if position requires
- Ability to complete ongoing NMLS training and ensure SAFE Act compliance as required

Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.
Physical Requirements:
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work environment with moderate noise.
Mental and/or Emotional Requirements:
Must be able to perform job functions independently and with limited supervision. Must work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic financial calculations with accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under stress of deadline, requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on confidential matters.
