The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for executing marketing communications plans and strategies. The Marketing Communications Specialist works closely with Digital Marketing Manager to create and implement marketing communications programs, tools, and processes to drive revenue and increase sales for the company. The Marketing Communications Specialist will develop content, manage content, and attend trade shows. The Marketing Communications Specialist will use the following media: Digital Marketing, Print Advertising, PR, Website, Trade shows, Direct mail, Whitepapers, and others.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop new marketing programs, tools, and printed collateral.
  • Design, develop, and maintain new marketing materials such as brochures, product sheets, presentation materials, training tools, whitepapers, advertising, PR, social media content, web pages, videos, email marketing, and customer communications.
  • Ensure our customer-facing website is kept up-to-date and continuously refreshed, and work with the Digital Marketing Manager to optimize SEO/SEM.
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report marketing operations activities for events and traditional media results on an ongoing basis. Establish benchmarks, develop supporting reports, and communicate results. Track the ROI.
  • Responsible for planning and executing trade shows for the company with help of the team. Coordinate the floor plan, equipment, utility orders, graphics, supplies, and other requirements for tradeshows. Ensures all Sales and Marketing opportunities are maximized to improve attendance, leads, and revenue.
  • Support new product commercialization by developing marketing content, training materials, and promotional campaigns.
  • Supports internal communications initiatives utilizing Equip’d and other platforms to deliver communications.
  • Manage annual marketing budget and track project costs to control expenses.
  • Other key marketing projects as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Communications
  • 3+ years of marketing communications experience
  • Strong communication, copywriting & editing skills
  • Prior experience with marketing automation and CRM. (Marketo and SalesForce are a plus)
  • Specific Skills: WordPress, graphics design (using Photoshop and Illustrator), and Marketo (marketing automation software)
  • Travel 10-15% for tradeshows, events, and meetings
