Premier Martial Arts is one of the fastest-growing fitness franchises in the U.S. and the Katy/Fulshear location is looking for a Marketing Manager to help us as we continue to expand. We are looking for a high-energy, enthusiastic, friendly, organically motivated, self-starter, that is highly professional and has previous experience in sales and/or marketing. The ideal candidate will also have the right temperament to work with both children and adults. The Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for helping new students navigate through our enrollment process. This will also include working closely with our leadership team to help members set goals that will lead to upgrades sales and renewals. The ideal candidate should have a passion for fitness and helping others and a willingness to market our programs in the community. The candidate must be able to work nights and some weekends. Position Overview:

A martial arts business’ Marketing Manager is a person that is passionate about the value of martial arts adds to a person’s life. They understand that to introduce the wonderful world of martial arts to as many people in their community as possible they must be fully invested in their education to market and sell martial arts lessons. That is in fact exactly what a Marketing Manager’s purpose in the school is to market and sell martial arts lessons.

Before anyone should consider the position of the Marketing Manager, they need to have an organic passion, motivation, and excitement for others to start their martial arts journey. Next, this person needs to be all-in when it comes to their education and implementation of the Premier Martial Arts marketing and sales systems. Our tried and true systems are the map that leads a Marketing Manager to fulfill their mission of spreading the martial arts lifestyle. Being excellent in sales will allow the Marketing Manager to accomplish the company’s financial goals as well as his/her personal financial goals.

The ideal candidate will help us achieve our goals by partnering with the studio owners and head instructor/studio manager to develop and provide a premium experience for our students.

Position Description:

A Marketing Manager is usually the first and most important contact that a prospective client has with a school. Employees in this role must be friendly, professional, personable, and approachable. A Marketing Manager must be detailed, organized, proficient, and be a self-starter.

Primary Duties:

  • Plan and execute lead generation systems provided in monthly advertising and promotions
  • Follow-up and qualify prospects and leads primarily using phone calls, but text messages and email as well to prospects/leads
  • Warmly greet and qualify walk-in leads
  • Schedule leads to attend in-person appointments throughout the week
  • Conduct in-person introductory martial arts lessons for prospective students
  • Conduct placement tests and existing student evaluations for upgrade conferences
  • Follow and complete daily task and business statistics tracking in the PMA management manual
  • Accomplishing new membership monthly goals
  • Accomplishing upgrade goals for all upgrade programs
  • Become a proficient user and the owner of our Customer Relationship Management software that is used to track sales leads, track existing student contracts, maintain student tuition billing and process pro shop gear sales to students
  • Send out communications to existing students
  • Oversee the basic experience of our students and their families by always working to enhance relationships to keep attrition rates low
  • Assist in motivating and building professional relationships with the students and families
  • Ensure the facility is clean, and safe, upholding PMA brand and standards by working with other Team member to clean the various sections of the studio on a daily basis
  • Communicate with the studio Owner, Head Instructor and Assistant Instructors with respect
  • Event planning and execution. For example, one-time workshops and other community events held at the studio and outside the studio
  • Execute local marketing and community outreach events outside the studio
  • Collaborate with local education leaders and stakeholders
  • Schedule, promote, and conduct all in-school events
  • Represent Premier Martial Arts at community events (i.e. promotional booths) to generate leads

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of B2C Marketing
  • 2+ years of customer sales experience
  • 1+ year of outside sales experience
  • Recently completed professional marketing/sales training
  • 1+ year of martial arts training
  • Experience and passion for working with parents and children ages 4-12 years
  • Has proven experience as a marketing professional who consistently meets or exceeds revenue goals
  • Is comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences; parents, educators, students
  • Able to communicate with Spanish speaking parents and children
  • Have a “do what it takes to get the job done” attitude
  • Be willing to train regularly to enhance skills
  • Optimistic attitude
  • Follow and implement franchise systems
  • Physically agile
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to be a team player
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the capacity to command attention
  • Strong event planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer/phone skills and capacity to learn different softwares used to run the studio and collect leads
  • Proficient use of Google Sheets, Google Docs, write-on PDFs and various other common apps on Tablets and Laptops
  • Ability to attend a week-long (seven days) training out of town
  • Will pass a criminal background check

Outline of a Typical Work Week:

  • Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Saturdays - 9am - 1:00pm
  • Promotional Marketing Booths at community events (As Needed/Scheduled)
  • Mass Intros/Workshops (As Needed/Scheduled)
  • Birthday Parties (As Needed/Scheduled)
