Working across Informa’s North American Business, the Marketing Performance Director will be a skilled change agent and be able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others. The individual needs to be analytical and data orientated with a history of testing and optimization and should have extensive experience of digital marketing (either broadly or in a particular discipline) and marketing technology. The individual must act as a change management ambassador, demonstrating a positive and constructive attitude towards challenges and change.
- Driving marketing effectiveness
- Ongoing customer insight and engagement strategies
- Monitoring delivery of marketing campaigns in line with business objectives for each portfolio
- Reporting and marketing benchmarks
- To work with a cross-functional marketing team which includes marketers from all backgrounds with a diverse range of skills and training
- Training, troubleshooting and advanced application across platforms within Informa Markets’ marketing stack
- Work with commercial and marketing leads to ensure right structure, specialisms and level of resources to meet agreed product KPI’s
- Provide guidance, feedback and inspiration to line reports and broader marketing teams
- Champion the adoption and optimization of marketing technology solutions and digital marketing more broadly
- Work with marketing leads to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns in line with agreed KPI’s, product and divisional strategy
- Ensure marketing leads and marketing managers have the skills and training required to manage junior team members or specialists
- Ensure adoption and optimization of marketing technology solutions, identify training needs and ensure marketing teams are technically proficient
- Reflect the high-performance culture of the marketing team
- Ensure marketing teams are customer centric and are using a range of methodologies to engage, understand and act on customer feedback
- Monitor campaign performance by developing and supervising the production of relevant and timely reports
- Share relevant insights with sales, event team and senior management to drive revenues or pursue new opportunities
- Analyze and report trends over time and use these insights to help teams build more effective campaigns
- Ensure relevant and timely data is captured
- Work with internal teams to ensure data governance and data management policies are adhered to
- Ensure delivery and accuracy of pre-agreed reports during and post campaign to monitor channel effectiveness and ROI
- Develop/improve campaign analytics dashboards to monitor performance
- Build a culture of testing and metrics-driven decision making in the teams
- Work with marketing leads to develop skills and competencies and assist with individual development roadmaps with
- Ensure effective onboarding and platform training is in place
- Design and implement training programs to ensure the continual advancement of the marketing teams
- Develop and implement frameworks to monitor this
- Recommend external suppliers to support delivery
- Develop effective communications strategies to inform and engage marketers
- Share case studies with marketers, division, and Informa Markets
- Work with HR and marketing leads to support talent acquisition
Extensive experience of digital marketing- Experience of managing or working as a peer in a senior team
- Experience of using marketing automation technology (preferably Eloqua), training and optimization
- Experience of working with CMS platforms (preferably Adobe Experience Manager), training and optimization
- Experience of working with analytics platforms (preferably with Adobe, Google, DOMO or Power BI), setting up dashboards and training
- Solid understanding & experience of digital channels (paid media, programmatic, SEO and content marketing)
- Database development and growth including segmentation / personalization
- Analytical and questioning mindset
- Deadline and data-driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office including intermediate/advanced PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

- The pay range for this position is $102,000 - $125,000 depending on experience.
