General Scope: Self-motivated, problem solver responsible for scheduling production operations to maximize work center utilization while maintaining capacity planning related data.

Position Summary:

• 
  Develop and maintain the production schedule to maximize work center utilization and on time delivery.
• Plan and schedule workflow at the work center and department level in accordance with established production sequences, routings and established material lead times.
• Establish and maintain both short term and long term Capacity Planning data. Maintain production capacity parameters on a department and work center level.
• Participate in manufacturing meetings, communicate priorities and schedule changes on a daily basis to support changes in production requirements with production, purchasing and planning teams.
• Use sales orders and forecast aligned with capacity planning to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with sales and planning personnel to develop a S & O P process to maximize shop utilization in relation to meeting customer demands.
• Track progress of planned production and communicate anticipated problems to the appropriate stake holders.
• Acts as primary contact with sales, customer service, materials planning, manufacturing, and logistics in determining resource constraints, and developing plans to achieve customers' needs
• Collaborate with planning, purchasing, engineering and production departments to ensure compliance to scheduled activities.
• Create and update standard work documentation for scheduling activities.
• Maintain the data integrity within the ERP system for assigned activities.
• Problem solving mindset.
• Work within cross functional teams to maximize the use of automated data collection systems, make recommendations and implement required updates.
• Primary job functions require exercising independent judgment and creative thinking.
• Works independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Work with the MRP/ERP analyst to set order policy codes and safety stock levels

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or comparable areas of study)
• Five (5) + years of progressive experience in Supply chain activities with a strong focus on Production Scheduling

Knowledge: Incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

• 
  Proven in depth experience utilizing a defined ERP/MRP system; Infor ERP LN experience is a plus.
• Experience with MS Office products with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must have strong analytical, problem solving, teaming, organizational and communication skills.
• Self-directed, self-disciplined and highly organized; able to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to balance and manage changing priorities with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment; be able to handle pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
