Material Handler Job at Stellar Snacks
Responsibilities
- Pulling and staging all products for next day production runs.
- Return and cycle count all items not used for production before returning to inventory location(s)
- Loads and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trucks, as well as collects empty pallet boards and carries them to storage
- Picks appropriate cases according to order, using required technology
- Safely operates a forklift (following appropriate training)
- Assists in product inventory
- Performs general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
- Verifies the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
- Labels every product and places them accordingly
- Identifies and locates the right products during the delivery process
- Keeps a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
- Handles returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
- Keeps all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance
- Conveys purchasing requirements and keeps data on the availability of products in short supply
- Collaborates with internal departments to locate missing packages, fixes incorrect deliveries and replaces damaged products
Skills and Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift more than 30 pounds without assistance
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time
- Willing and able to work at heights, using ladders or lifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
- Willing to put in extra hours to make our numbers
