Your Contributions to the Crew
As a marine mechanic your primary duties would include service and repair our fleet of ferry vessels to ensure they are running at their peak level. Our fleet includes CAT Cummins, MTU and Detroit Diesel engines.
Diagnose and repair engines, drive trains, components and hardware- Perform routine maintenance on boats, engines, vehicles and trailers
- Winterize engines and prep in spring
- Assist in ensuring vessel is in an inspection-ready condition at all times
- Ensure all aspects of safety are adhered to at all times
- Maintain supply, tool and parts inventories
- Use hand, power tools and specialized equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work to achieve the highest levels of performance and productivity
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in Diesel Mechanics, marine or trucking industry
- 2 years or > on diesel and power generator experience
- Knowledge of marine engine and drives preferred
- Knowledge of AC/DC Electrical
- Fabrication is a plus
- Has set of tools
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be willing and able to take and pass random drug and alcohol tests
