Kaiser Premier is looking for an entry level or experienced Mechanical Engineer for our Hydro Excavator and Recycler manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have the desire to oversee a design from paper to product.
Ideal candidates will have the following skills:
1) Experience in System Design (specifically in hydraulics, pneumatic, and electrical components)
2) Must have a firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products.
3) SolidWorks, Design for Manufacturing, and Project Management experience needed
4) Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
5) Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide accurate technical information.
6) Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
7) Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
8) Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
9) Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to the production team.
10) Developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
11) Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
12) Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
13) Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
14) Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
15) Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
16) Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.
17) Should have exceptional technical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
18) Maintaining manufacturing Bill Of Materials in MRP programs.
Preferred Experience
1) Manufacturing experience a plus
2) Experience using CAD software
3) Experience with SAP
