Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
Amyx is seeking to hire a Media Intake Specialist to support our Electronic Discovery and Support of Litigation (EDSL) contract in the Washington DC area.
Responsibilities:
Perform logging and tracking of paper and electronic media. Analyze content of
cover letters and electronic media.
Determine Bates number ranges in collections of documents.
Detect encrypted files.
Decrypt electronic files with passwords provided.
Copy documents and data from electronic media to shared storage locations.
Determine types of processing required to load documents and data into litigation support repositories.
Determine whether media and files are corrupted or otherwise not processable.
Interpret special processing instructions from litigation support specialists.

Sound understanding of the e-Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and life-cycle
Proficiency in problem recognition and solving skills

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
