Summary:

The Media Operations Support Technician will be responsible for the daily maintenance and monitoring of the Digital Broadcast Network (DBN) through the use of Fathom monitoring tools. Individual will send out daily emails and place phone calls to address issues with the content delivery equipment located in movie theatres across the country. Fathom Events provides recorded and live broadcast events to cinemas. These events take place during non-traditional business hours including nights and weekends. This position also handles customer service during events for theatre staff and troubleshooting for projection/sound issues over the phone. Some event support can be done from home once candidate is fully trained.

Salary range $50,000-$55,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.

· Perform daily maintenance checks on event related equipment.

· Troubleshoot issues relating to movie theatre audio and video equipment including projectors, media servers, cinema processors and high-definition satellite receivers.

· Document tasks relating to the daily checks and troubleshooting of event equipment.

· Communicate, verbally and written, issues requiring escalations to senior level engineers.

· Categorize and log work hours spent and what tasks they were related to.

· Participate in the technical execution of events. Remotely troubleshoot issues that are reported and record issues that are encountered and the final resolutions.

· Non-business hour work (nights/weekends) expected approximately 20% of the time.

· Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED and minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in a technical capacity with audio and visual equipment, Information Technology or Audio/Video industry.

· Knowledge of A/V equipment (projection systems, video formats, and movie theatre sound systems).

· Knowledge of A/V formats (video: 4K, 2K, HD, audio: stereo, Lt/Rt, 5.1 surround sound).

· Understanding of satellite communications, equipment used in broadcast and data transport mediums.

· Working experience with Microsoft Office suite.

· General understanding of remote management applications and practices.

· General understanding of cabling (network, electrical, and audio/visual including HDM, DVI, and Toslink).

· Preferred skills include extensive knowledge of movie theatre projection equipment or satellite broadcast installations.

· Working knowledge of Windows based operating systems.

· Technically inclined individual who can work with minimal supervision, ability to work effectively and multi-task in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Must possess a professional demeanor and observe the code of conduct of the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
