Location: Worthington Health Center

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist health care providers in the provision of quality care at every patient visit and telephone interaction.
• Perform pre-visit planning in preparation of patient appointment
• Prepare patient for appointment using rooming criteria
• Make patient call backs per provider request and standing protocols
• Maintain medical supplies -and prepare restocking list as needed.
• Clean and restock exam rooms
• Sterilize and clean equipment as needed, clean sterilizer, and maintain usage log and test strip
• Set up surgical trays and GYN trays
• Assist providers with IUD placement and removal and other minor procedures if needed
• Prepare prescriptions for provider using company protocols
• General knowledge and performance of in-house procedures; including but not limited to pregnancy tests, hemoglobin, rapid strep, rapid flu, glucose, rapid covid tests, HgA1c

Qualifications (skills & experience):

• Required: Ability to work on and with a team.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Preferred: Knowledge and use of electronic medical records.
• Minimum of 0-1 yr experience of medical assisting in a doctor's office setting.
• CMA/RMA/CCMA accreditation.
