Location: Worthington Health Center
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist health care providers in the provision of quality care at every patient visit and telephone interaction.
- Perform pre-visit planning in preparation of patient appointment
- Prepare patient for appointment using rooming criteria
- Make patient call backs per provider request and standing protocols
- Maintain medical supplies -and prepare restocking list as needed.
- Clean and restock exam rooms
- Sterilize and clean equipment as needed, clean sterilizer, and maintain usage log and test strip
- Set up surgical trays and GYN trays
- Assist providers with IUD placement and removal and other minor procedures if needed
- Prepare prescriptions for provider using company protocols
- General knowledge and performance of in-house procedures; including but not limited to pregnancy tests, hemoglobin, rapid strep, rapid flu, glucose, rapid covid tests, HgA1c
Qualifications (skills & experience):
- Required: Ability to work on and with a team.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Preferred: Knowledge and use of electronic medical records.
- Minimum of 0-1 yr experience of medical assisting in a doctor's office setting.
- CMA/RMA/CCMA accreditation.

COVID Safety Measures:
