Position Summary: You will function as a member of our clinical team, providing a key supportive role in the delivery of care that is safe, effective, patient centered, timely and efficient. This position performs all aspects of claims analysis including refiling, error correcting, appeals, correspondence and research.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Make contact on a minimum number of accounts/claims per day
- Track and follow claims from filing until adjudication, including any refiling or appeals
- Communicate any coding or claim issues to supervisor
- Maintain quality documentation/audit trail of actions taken on patient accounts by keeping clear, concise notes in the patient accounting system
- Meet and/or exceed department quality review expectations
- Meet and/or exceed department Accounts Receivable aging standard
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Any other duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Coding Certification
- Minimum 1-2 yrs of medical billing experiences
- Knowledge of insurance principles (i.e., coinsurance, deductible, copay, HMO, PPO, etc.)
- Detail oriented, with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
