Medical Laboratory Technologist Job at n2s Healthcare
Shift: Rotating day and evening shifts; 6:30am - 3pm 10;00am - 6:30pm 12pm - 8:30pm Weekends 8:30 - 5:00pm
Duties:
The Medical Laboratory Technician performs waived, moderate or high complexity testing as defined by CLIA'88. The (MLT) possesses working knowledge of the clinical laboratory and performs routine clinical laboratory analyses, recognizes problems, identifies basic causes, and makes corrections using established protocols. The MLT correlates data based on knowledge of technical and instrumental conditions affecting test results and performs quality control procedures within established parameters. The MLT collaborates with the customers of the laboratory to promote customer satisfaction. The MLT works independently under general supervision. Follows established guidelines to obtain specimens and prioritize work. Obtains specimens from patients of all ages and degrees of physical and/or mental disability. Properly verifies patient identity.
Required Skills:
Education:
- Associate degree (Community College, MBO).
- Graduate from a Medical Technician program (2 yr.) which includes the completion of a clinical internship or equivalent routes as specified in CLIA.
Certification:
- Applicant should possess or be eligible to receive appropriate HHS approved laboratory certification (ASCP, or AMT) within 1 year from hire date.
Schedule Notes:
- This position will be trained to float to multiple clinics in my region- Apple Valley, Lakeville, Eagan, Rosemount, and Bloomington clinics.
