A facility in Ithaca, NY is looking for a skilled and competent Medical Lab Technologist to work in the facility.
As a Medical Lab Technologist you will analyze various biological samples to treat or diagnose different diseases. Your main duties include getting biological samples ready to test, conducting blood tests and creating reports of your findings.
Position Details:
- 2 years of relevant experience required.
- 1 year of travel experience preferred.
- Active BLS License
- MLT License/Certificate
Assignment Details:
- Start date: 03/13/2023
- 13-week contract
- 37.50 hours per week (Evenings/Nights)
Rates:
Local Rate:
- $ 3,562.50 (Weekly Gross Pay Before Taxes)
- $ 95 Hourly Rate
Travel Rate:
- $ 3,518.50 (Weekly Gross Pay Before Taxes)
- $ 55 Hourly Rate
- $ 1,456 Weekly Stipend
- $ 500 Completion Bonus
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those tests
- Determine specimen validity within the first 20 minutes of receiving the specimen
- Inform clients of recollection protocols if a specimen is rejected
- Identify, diagnose and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment
- Verify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen
- Label and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievable
