A Medical Technologist:
  • Performs analyses in hematology, chemistry urinalysis, coagulation, blood bank and microbiology according to expected performance standards.
  • Performs venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick on identified patients by physician's request in a timely, accurate and caring manner.
  • Keeps documented records current regarding maintenance and quality control.
  • Meets the lab service goals as scheduled or report problems to lab director.
  • Promotes adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and the Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues.


Qualifications
As a Medical Technologist you will have:
  • B.A. / B.S. or equivalent in Medical Technology or related clinical field.
  • Valid state Clinical Lab Scientist license if required by the state.
  • 1-2 years experience in clinical laboratory.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations:
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable safety, quality control, and specimen handling guidelines and procedures.
  • Skilled in using applicable laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, meters, microscopes, incubators, pipettes, autoclaves, and sterilizers.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately when under strict deadlines.
  • Considerable knowledge of the theory and practice of clinical laboratory methods and instrumentation. Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, laboratory medicine, disease processes, and laboratory procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patient and/or employee rights are protected.
  • Must have good and regular attendance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Most Candidates can make up to $33.75/hour not including awards or shifts differentials.
