Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home & Newman House, located in Newman Grove, NE, is a 45-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) with an additional 21 beds dedicated to Assisted Living (AL). Nature of Work

GENERAL DUTIES

• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) assists in passing medications to residents on their assigned unit.
• Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, etc., to include transporting residents to/from such activities.
• Prepares and administers medication documents, the right medications to the right patient at the right time in the right dosage by the right route.
• Assist residents with proper hygiene
• Bathe residents as assigned and in accordance with established facility procedures (encourage showers and other self-help measures/activities).
• Follow infection control procedures in accordance with established facility policy when isolation techniques are necessary.
• Chart required information every shift pertaining to the role of the certified Medication Aide (CMA).
• Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
• Adheres to Company Standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensures that all consumer/resident rights are protected.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be 18 years of age. Must possess good leadership skills. Must be able to perform ALL Certified Nursing Assistant job responsiblities with above average capabilities.

Educational Requirements
This position requires a high school diploma or GED. Must have successfully completed the 75 hour Nursing Assistant Training Course and be certified by the Nebraska Health and Human Services System. Must have successfully completed a 40 hour Medication Aide Course and be approved by the Nebraska Health and Human Services system as a Medication Aide.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $24.00 per hour
