Position Purpose/Summary: Supports multiple job positions within the Member Solutions Department while staying compliant with Fair Lending regulations, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and Federal Trade Commission laws and regulations. Supports the collection functions of the organization by performing due diligence efforts on overdrawn accounts, past due secured and unsecured consumer obligations, and past due mortgaged properties. Assists throughout the collections process, working with internal and external partners, from the onset of delinquency to a satisfactory resolution.
Education & Experience: We pride ourselves in our advocacy for education, growth, and opportunity for experience at Visions Federal Credit Union. This position requires a minimum of an associate degree, and 2 years collection experience or relevant experience in the credit union or banking industries.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the nature of this role in dealing with groups of diverse employees and/or members on an on-going basis, the position requires (and is not limited to):
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Efficient time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment)
- Ability to use and/or learn variety of software as required for job/position.
- Positively communicate with diverse membership population while providing excellent customer service
- Strong computer and math skills, adherence to confidentiality, detail-oriented
