The Membership Engagement Coordinator is responsible for recruiting adult volunteers and girl members to participate in Girl Scouting. Through a variety of avenues, including: in-person meetings, presentations, networking opportunities with the community, you will develop and execute effective recruiting and retention strategies to increase awareness and participation in Girl Scouting.

This position is full-time, benefit eligible, including: medical, dental, life, long-term disability, 12 paid holidays a year, 15 days of vacation, 4 days of personal time, and 12 days of sick, all earned each year. Additionally, we offer a 403b and match after 1 year, and offer the option to enroll in many other supplementary benefits.

Requirements:
  • Design and implement a comprehensive plan to maintain and reach the council market share goal for girl and adult membership in targeted and assigned areas by researching school population statistics, market data, membership trends, and other pertinent information relevant to designated geographic areas.
  • Implement membership recruiting and retention strategies outlined in the council’s strategic plan, annual marketing plan, and/or other council goals through cultivation and organization of communities to generate girl and volunteer leads.
  • Identify specific target markets to reach the number of qualified leads needed to meet goals and prepare daily work plans and schedules correspondingly.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets to project the number of contacts to be made in order to meet membership goals. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up and adherence to goals.
  • Use customer relationship management system (Salesforce) to support pursuance of leads throughout the recruitment process through completion to “closed” status; document communication with troop leaders and work cases.
  • Seek opportunities and grows relationships with corporations, schools and educators, faith-based institutions, and other community organizations to increase awareness of, and participation in, Girl Scouts to positively impact membership growth.
  • Ensure Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scouts message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.
  • Follow up on and nurture new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion.
  • Support troop leaders throughout the year by attending Service Unit (SU) meetings, SU events, answering questions promptly adhering to customer service guidelines of 8 business hours.
  • Work in partnership with counterpart in other markets to ensure coordinated recruitment efforts, support of volunteers in assigned territory, consistent messaging.
  • Work with cross-functional team to determine or develop innovative techniques to ensure the effective delivery of recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Promote and assist council wide programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
