JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a detail oriented individual with a strong mechanical background. The primary responsibility of this role will be production support on a metal working line. Operators must be able to use provided measuring equipment and make needed adjustments to produce metal parts within tolerance.

All applicants must be skilled forklift operators.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist production in all areas including forklift operation, production line, and routinely operate a CNC lathe
• Ability to check the raw and finished goods materials frequently
• Must be self-motivated working with limited supervision while following verbal and written instructions
• Ability to operate a CNC lathe with training
• Ability to read dimensional drawings and prints accurately
• Accurately measure parts with basic measurement devices including calipers, tape measure and pi tape
• Report individual quality & productivity measurables to management
• Maintain good communication with team members and related internal departments
• Maintain 5S standards
• Must be able to perform adjustments on production line equipment as required
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Identify and promptly report any safety hazards or issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have ability to help resolve mechanical problems
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A minimum of 1 year of metal working experience
• Must have proficient mathematical skills
• Must be able to use basic measuring equipment as required to determine part quality and accuracy
• Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen

SCHEDULE:

• 1st Shift Position
• Typical Monday to Friday
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed
