EMR USA has an opening for a Metal Warehouse Employee in Amelia, LA. The Metal Warehouse Employee will be responsible for assisting customers and coworkers with activities in the metal warehouse. To be successful, the candidate must have good customer service skills, be organized, and have an understanding of inventory. Ultimately, an outstanding Metal Warehouse Employee has a good understanding of warehouse operations, customer service and computer skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers upon arrival
  • Helping unload customer material
  • Sort material into different types of metal, i.e. copper, stainless steel, etc…
  • Operate a forklift to move material.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

II. Required Skills / Abilities

  • Understanding of warehouse and inventory operations
  • Experience with computers
  • Previous scale operation experience

Education & Experience

  • Forklift operating experience

Other Job Demands

While performing the essential functions of this job, the Metal Warehouse Employee will be working in a warehouse environment. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces.
