Fitter / Welder

Sheet metal fabricator in Ashippun, WI seeking to hire a hard-working individual for a full-time position.

1st shift hours from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday, Friday 6:00 am to 2:00pm.

Overtime available at peak times.

Job Description:

This position is responsible for fit-up and welding of light gauge sheet steel using .035 Mig wire. Stainless steel & mild steel enclosures/cabnets.

Job Responsibilities:

Other job details include. Operate hand held power grinder to smooth welds.

Operate stroke sanding table to polish and grain stainless steel to a #4 finish.

Read and interpret prints and drawings.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Good communication skills and great attitude.

Maintain understanding and control of inventory

Operate as a team player, effectively communicating and working with production supervisor and others.

Maintain and support a safe, clean work environment by complying with all company standards.

Must have an “eye for detail” to continuously improve on quality, productivity and growth objectives

May be asked to perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Ability to solve practical problems using reasoning and decision-making skills to ensure quality work

Demonstrate enthusiasm, takes initiative, and works with a sense of urgency to meet or exceed production and quality goals.

Must have time management skills to meet production demands.

Job Requirements:

HS Diploma or GED

1-3 years of experience in role preferred

Steel toe shoes required

Must be able to lift and manipulate up to 35 pounds on a frequent basis

Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds using team lifting techniques on an occasional basis

Must be able to work for 7 to 9 hours per day without sitting

Compensation:
