We are currently seeking a Full-Time Millwright for our Port Arthur location.

As a Millwright, it is expected to work on average 40+ hours a week, with extended hours, including holidays, as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular and as needed troubleshooting, maintenance, repairs, installation, adjustments, rebuilds, and rotation of industrial equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate and perform inspections and preventative maintenance based on established procedures and coordinate follow-up work as needed.
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and diagnose emergencies and/or equipment failures.
  • Read, understand, and maintain schematics in compliance with SOP's and applicable regulations and policies.
  • Participate in safety meetings and generate ideas to improve safety and efficiencies.
  • Share knowledge with others as it relates to maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and controls.
  • Participate in procedure audits and reviews, and assist in improving predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Support and adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policies and practices.
  • Performs a variety of other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Technical school certification preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years Millwright experience
  • Basic knowledge and experience with rigging equipment, welding/fabrication, oxygen/acetylene cutting equipment, hydraulic systems, chain and belt conveyors, gearboxes, drive chains, sprockets, drive belts and sheaves
  • Experience with proper bearing installation and removal
  • Aptitude to learn manufacturing and Port process operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be equally comfortable working both in a team environment as well as working independently
  • Must have effective time management and possess a sense of urgency in work habits
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to handle multiple tasks collectively
  • Requires periodic work outside of established working hours in order to meet objectives
  • Have working knowledge with PPE and possess the ability to work safely

Environment:

This position is required to work in a manufacturing / port environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be frequently exposed to a wide range of temperatures, vibrations, odors, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, equipment and/or vehicular traffic, and noise levels that are frequently loud, as is common in a manufacturing, plant and/or port operation.
