Job Title: Mortgage Servicing Specialist - Loan Escrow
Department: Loan Operations
Reports to: Assistant Loan Servicing Manager
Summary: The Mortgage Servicing Specialist - Loan Escrow position will be responsible for administering all loan escrow accounts.
Specific Job Functions:
- Input new loan tax and insurance information in loan servicing software.
- Accurately prepare and forward the insurance spreadsheet to a 3rd party tracking company along with copy of insurance documents for new loans.
- Reviewing periodic reports from 3rd party tax and insurance tracking companies against loan servicing software reports to ensure all tax and insurance payments are made from customer’s escrow accounts in a timely manner.
- Generate required annual escrow analysis disclosures monthly and review for accuracy and completeness.
- Processing loss draft funds and handling payouts to customers from loss draft account.
- Ensuring all property address changes due to post office changes or customer’s physically moving their home are completed with all necessary paperwork and tracking of taxes and insurance updated.
- Scanning and storing documents to the document imaging storage systems
- Assist clients via phone calls, mail, or e-mail with questions on their accounts, performing debit card or one time ACH payments, Tax and Insurance questions, payoff requests, or any other misc. requests and/or questions
- Posting daily payments from customers via check, debit card, or ACH transfer
- Complete BSA quarterly training in a timely manner.
- Flexibility in helping in other areas/departments.
- Perform all other duties as requested or assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years loan escrow administration experience required.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Excellent interpersonal communication with all levels of staff.
- Understanding of banking computer systems
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with RESPA & CFPB regulations preferred.
- Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Lending, and all banking regulations where applicable.
