Job Description:
NBD - New Business Development
The Pre-Sales Lead Generator is responsible for generating qualified leads in North America and reports to the North America BDM. As you are the first step in the sales process, the team will rely on your persuasive abilities and creative methods to generate qualified leads. You will be a confident communicator as for the most part, your primary tools will be the telephone and email. Furthermore, an ability to quickly learn the key features and benefits of our products, along with a persistent attitude underpinned by your excellent planning and organisation skills will enable you to succeed in this role.
Typical Day-to-Day Activities

Mapping out prospect accounts to ensure we have all relevant contacts in Salesforce and that they are worked to generate qualified leads.

Follow up on all prospect marketing activities, including inbound leads.

Hand over qualified leads to the North America BDM.

A qualified lead is identified as either;
-
X-Trim – the prospect has sent their data for the purpose of a demo
-
opt – Studio – the prospect is within the criteria to use our software, has been through a sales presentation, and is requesting a demo

The typical activities will include but are not limited to:
-
Adding prospect accounts and contacts to Salesforce. The sourcing of this is done via multiple channels including LinkedIn, company websites, association information, industry news and magazines.

Contacting prospects to generate interest via LinkedIn, emails, and calls.
-
Follow up on all marketing-generated leads, these will be allocated.

Follow up on all marketing campaigns – Greycon’s Marketing Lead will talk through when/ how to do this.

Qualify if the prospect is a fit for one of Greycon’s solutions via an introduction meeting.

Give an overview sales presentation to the prospect to convert the interest into a qualified lead.

Gather data required for the detailed demo which deems the interest a “qualified lead”.

Ensure everything is documented in Salesforce, including all activities, conversations, emails exchange, and demos.

Weekly sales pipeline call and review with the BDM and Global Commercial Manager.

Monthly Sales Meeting – to review the month that just finished and the month ahead.

Monthly sales team best practice – the team shares best practices with each other.

Engagement with industry/trade organizations, conferences, shows for networking and promotions

The job responsibilities include:

Generate and find new prospects to generate qualified leads

Outbound cold calling to drive new named sales

Create leads in SalesForce and maintain the system with accurate details

Contribute to the marketing activities by actively following up on actions

Drive marketing/lead generation initiatives in line with business objectives, set by management
-
Create, maintain and execute a clear sales plan for daily/ weekly/ monthly quarterly sales activity
-
Meet and exceed all weekly and monthly activity expectations
-
Research and develop new sectors within our markets for our solutions
-
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Greycon’s product portfolio and awareness of competitor products and services
-
Qualify, develop, and manage a lead through to qualified lead, whether sourced or provided
-
Respond to and follow up on all sales enquiries using appropriate methods as per the SOP
-
Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
-
Establish and maintain strategic relationships, alliances, and networks within the industry (or any other vertical market) as well as with other key stakeholders to generate sales leads

Participate in team meetings
-
Perform any other duties related to the promotion, sales, and delivery of the products, or related third party products, as directed by the management team from time to time

Job Qualifications:

Essential:
-
Fluent in English, additional languages are advantageous as we are a Global business, but not essential
-
Excellent communication skills & and an ability to quickly establish customer rapport over the phone
-
Proven ability to convert leads to meetings and to opportunities
-
Experienced in pre-sales or lead generation
-
Comfortable in presenting benefit-driven solutions to key contacts
-
Results driven with the credibility to influence at all levels and the ability to think outside the box to identify potential leads and opportunities
-
Able to independently plan, organise and follow job activities in accordance with their importance.

Desirable:
-
Demonstrable evidence of a commercial sales background with a track record in new business lead generation or sales

Experience or exposure to the software business in the context of supply chain planning and/or manufacturing
